Hello Quilters - It's Friday and I am super excited to have a free weekend to just sew until my heart is content. Although I will be working on two client projects I also plan on working on something personal for myself. I can't believe it is mid September which only means Christmas is right around the corner, 101 days to be exact! That's not a lot of time to work on Christmas gifts so my head is spinning with ideas of those special people in my circle who I would love to gift a quilt to. I also like to give my co-workers a little something handmade too so I have been thinking of some ideas for them as well. I just purchased a Martelli template to make Mug Cozies. So since we all drink coffee at work I thought that would be the perfect little gift. I just have to go through my stash and pull out some cool fabrics I want to use. What are you making for holiday gifts?
On another note I thought I would be doing at least 2 craft shows this year but it looks like I will have to take this year off as well. Time just got away from me this year but I plan on getting back into the craft show scene next year with some new merchandise and a new look for my booth as well so I am excited about that as well! So much to do and so little time. Guild meetings started this month so I am busy planning next years bus trip with another member as well as coming up with ideas with some other ladies for our Guild quilt challenge. Sew many exciting things happening I just wish I didn't have a full time job so I can get more quilting done but for now I have to juggle my job with my true passion.
I am thinking of organizing a collection for the 1 million pillow case challenge through my blog so stay tuned as I set up a goal #!
Hope everyone will get some quality sew time in and I will post pictures of my client projects once they are all done so in the mean time Happy Quilting!

Hello quilters - I am so happy to be blogging again! It is a beautiful day here in NYC today, however it feels like a nice Fall day and we are in mid August! Hope this doesn't mean we are going to have a brutal winter! But even with the chill in the air I am in full summer mode and I will be traveling to Ocean City, MD this Saturday for the last vacation of the summer. I am looking forward to some pool time and beachtime so I hope the weather will be a little hotter then what it is. My new found love is Camping---well I mean Glamping and Sewing! The two go hand in hand quite nicely and its sew much fun! I decided to take my Pfaff Passport camping with me and was actually able to make 3 quilt tops on 2 separate camping trips! It is the most relaxing therapy a quilter could ask for! I set my Passport up on a picnic table with my iron, my awesome ironing board from TNT Quilt Boards (www.tntquiltboards.com), cutting mat, notions and just sit outside enjoying the outdoors and doing what I love to do most--Quilting! Anyone else do this? I know many quilters do. We are so blessed. I will be taking at least 3 projects with me this week so I will be sure to blog about it next week. But for now here are a few pics of my set up and quilt tops I completed so far while Glamping. Hope you all enjoy the rest of the summer, I know I will! Time to get started on those Christmas/Holiday quilts to. I know I am behind already!

Hello everyone and welcome! I am back online with my brand new website and blog page. Please tell all your quilty/crafty friends all about Quilter's Candy Shop and please browse around. Hopefully you will find something you like. I hope to grow my inventory so please check back on a regular. We are so excited to have the opportunity to be a part of the great world of quilting. Nothing makes me happier then sharing my passion for quilting with others. My mission is to offer quilt shop quality fabrics and notions at affordable prices. I also pride myself in old fashioned personal customer service! I love people and teaching others to quilt is absolutely what I want to do so I am also offering classes, both private or in a group. Teaching someone to quilt gives me the opportunity to teach a lifetime skill that will be used for generations to follow and hopefully passed down as well. It is up to us, the quilters to teach others so that quilting does not become a lost art. Can you imagine a world without quilts? Exactly! Neither can I!! Nothing is more fulfilling then gifting a quilt to a friend or family member or even a stranger who is having a rough time or a baby who is sick in the hospital. Quilts are treasured keepsakes that can be passed down from generation to generation. They bring comfort and happiness and all quilts have a story! So if you are jugling the idea of learning how to quilt, or are a beginner quilter or advanced quilter, please join me on my journey and hopefully I can make you laugh and learn something new along the way. I hope you will follow my blog and do a little shopping online while you're at it. If you have any questions please go to my CONTACT US page and shoot me an email or give me a call. I will try to be good and post at least once a week of projects I am working on, post tips and tricks, free patterns, share info about quilt retreats or share news about my online shop and whats to come. Until later my quilty friends.
